I had the distinguished opportunity to preach at my church last week and it pretty much went with what I had been posting on this site for so long. In which it essentially meant………don’t wait to get started.
In other words, if you have goals that you want accomplished in the coming year; you should have started yesterday! Never wait until the year starts to get there, but use the remaining time of this year to propel you into the New Year.
It really is that simple. I had a goal of working out at least four days a week and it has worked out wonderfully. So guess, what? When the Spring comes…it won’t even be a challenge to get to five days a week. In fact, I ran in my steel toe boots yesterday right after the snowstorm. Sure it was horrible and only 30 minutes of running; but I sure didn’t see anyone else out there trying to do it. Why? Because it is HARD! I must admit that the calories burned were not missed and I wasn’t taking any prisoners. I ate too good during this last holiday and there was no way in the world that I could just let that set in me like a lump of coal.
I kind of miss being at work since it gave me a way out of staying in the house and snacking away. I’m really excited to get back so that every time I get to work I can donate another check to paying off debt. Something that I have become obsessed with as of late. My ultimate goal this year is to put myself into a position where I can help others and that can not happen until I help myself first!
What are your goals for 2013 that you can start today?
