This is usually the time of year when I am more than excited to clean out the garage and basement with the windows open and turning off the heat. This also is the peak of my college basketball season as I watch the Ohio State Buckeyes make another run for the Final Four.
But, as I look outside and prepare for another run; I see that the snow has not melted…..yet. It’s almost April and there is nothing in sight that tells me that there will be a consistent warmup. Even more surprisingly the news reported that there won’t be anything to notice until June.
I guess this makes up for the winter that we didn’t have last year. But, there is a lot to look forward to this weekend. I have a wedding to conduct; which means that I will have an excuse for “date night” with the missus (at the reception) and then I get to relax for the rest of the ENTIRE weekend. Then I’ll end it with a good Easter Service and some type of fattening food that I will digest easily since I’ve been on a pretty strict diet for the last four and a half months.
So yes, it is Spring, but emotionally it just doesn’t feel like it. Which, in turn affects the way that I write as well as the motivation. The good thing is that TRIAL will be available for purchase in a couple of weeks and the final book in the Preston Brown Chronicles will be ready for the summer….entitled “VERDICT”: God is a jealous God.
